Warranty information on machines Officetech repair

This information is  a general guide and current at time of writing but may change periodically without notice, so please give us a call to check.

We can usually check the date of despatch from the manufacturer to confirm warranty status if you can't find your receipt. Vendors often keep records under your telephone number so they can often help find the date of sale as well.

Please note: 'return to base' means return machine to where you bought it or delivery to the service agent.


Brother. Helpdesk number 0800 329111

Standard 1 year return to base for all machines, however, if you are using genuine Brother consumables, Brother extend this to 4 years onsite*

Brother pay return freight if machines are sent to us by courier.

*onsite applies to machines from $199inc gst RRP upwards and within 30kms of service agent


Canon. Helpdesk number 0800 222666

Standard printers have 1 year return to base warranty. Maxify range has a 3 year replacement warranty. Maxify needs to be inspected by service agent first to determine machine fault and simple issues will be repaired, otherwise machine will be replaced.

Epson. Helpdesk number 0800 237766

Standard printers have 1 year return to base warranty. Some machines have an extra 2 years warranty if the customer registers the printer with Epson, so please check with Epson to confirm warranty status.

Projectors are 2 years for entry level units and 3 years for mid range and up.

Currently, Epson do not pay return freight so we have to charge courier costs for returning machines, or you can include a return ticket.



Some things to remember for warranty work to be done.


Using non genuine consumables will void manufacturers warranty on issues caused by those non genuine consumables. For example, print quality issues. Warranty will normally be honoured on any other issues.
